We are offering a special reduction in our rates for the next eight week courses starting in January 2009

The courses start

Monday 12th January 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Monday 14th January 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

 Open night on Wednedsay January 7th

- this is the opportunity for you come along and meet the instructors, ask any questions you like and possibly have a short taster session.

If two people sign up for the course together they pay only the fees for one of them.

Course Content

The course is designed for people with little or no experience of tai chi chuan and who
would like to understand more about Tai Chi Chuan by experiencing the movements
and learning some of the underlying theory.

At the end of the course you may,or may not, choose to stay on and complete the beginner's syllabus.

The course comprises:

  • Warm up exercises
  • Individual forms
  • Tai Chi Walking
  • Applications of selected forms
  • Introductory push hands
  • 5 Element Meditation
  • Theory and Philosohpy

    What should I Wear ?

    We recommend loose easy fitting clothes that do not restrict movement
    e.g a Tee or sweat shirt, track suit bottoms and kung fu slippers, trainers
    or stocking feet are preferred to bare feet.

    There are changing rooms available.

    How much is it ?

    The course normally costs £50 payable either by cheque or cash, but is discounted as above for this month only.

    Where is it ?

    We are located in the gymnasium at the Furnival building,
    which is on Highgate Hill very close to Archway Underground station.

    You may join as a member by downloading a registration form as a printable PDF file
    that you can either return to us with a cheque for the appropriate amount, or bring with you to the first class.
