The event was held at the Hackney Carers' centre in Dalston. The Hackney Families Together (HFT) pampering day is an annual event giving HFT parents the chance to meet informally and try various workshops and activities. Don Spargo provided a demonstration, a workshop and taster sessions for carers, parents and members of staff to try.

Hackney Families together is a forum for parents and carers of disabled children in Hackney. It is run by Hackney Family backup and facilities were provided by the City and Hackney Carers' Centre.

There were a number of sessions held throughout the day as various people came and went from the event.
