Tired? Low energy? Frustrated by life's problems? Looking for calmness? Then come and try one (or more) of our Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) Classes. It may not fix all your problems but you will feel better for it and maybe more able to cope with life's stresses and strains. At the end of a busy week, relatively easy exercise with the focus on relaxation, proper breathing and inner calmness could be just what you need.
The classes require no previous experience, though the more you do Qi Gong the better it gets. The class is led by Sifu Don Spargo, Chief Instructor at the Academy.
The class comprises a series of warm up exercises to mobilise the joints and major muscle groups and raise the circulation followed by a set or sets of Qi Gong exercises focussing on mindfulness to examine the relationship between breath and the movements. The class finishes with a short meditation session.
If you're coming for a single lesson you can pay in class, either by cash or card. Alternatively you can book in advance on-line, for a single lesson or block of lessons. If you do this please bring your receipt or conformation e mail with you to the lesson.
You do not need any special clothing for the Qi Gong class, but if you are staying on to do the Tai Class afterwards please come dressed in your training clothes and follow the Covid-19 safety procedures whilst in class.
