There are 2 classes,Qi Gong and Tai Chi
Qi Gong from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday mornings
Qi Gong literally translates as 'Breath Work' i.e. breathing exercises. The class consists of a top to toe warm up session, followed by various Qi Gong routines or sets. The aim of Qi Gong practice is to cultivate and circulate internal energy, relieve stress and promote relaxation and awareness.
Tai Chi Classes are from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday mornings
The Tai Chi Classes will consist of warm up exercises, Tai Chi Walking, practice and tuition of Tai Chi Forms. Tai Chi Chuan consists of a series of movement sets or forms that are played in a specific order, the complete set of movements is known as "The Form". New beginners will learn the 12 step form. To see a demonstration of the 12 step form performed by members of Wu's style Tai Chi Chuan Academy, Hong Kong click here. The commentary on the movements and actions is by Grandmaster Wu Kwong Yu.
On-going beginners will learn the long Form of Wu's style Tai Chi Chuan of which the first 14 movements can be seen here.
